Are the conference proceedings included in my registration?
No. Conference proceedings CDs will be available for purchase at the conference itself, or shortly after the conference on the AIS E-Library
 
I have special dietary needs; how can I request special meals?
We are happy to honor your special dietary needs. Please indicate your request on your registration form prior to the conference. All special dietary requests must be made prior to the conference itself; requests made on site may not be honored.
 
What if I’d like to bring a guest?
Guest tickets are available for both the full conference or the social events only. You can pay for your guest ticket in advance or purchase them at the conference.
 
What is the recommended attire for the conference?
Conference attire will be casual and comfortable. Please note, however, that Lima weather in August is typically cold. Check here for the current weather conditions before you pack.
 
What is the refund policy for conference registration cancellations?
Cancellations must be received in writing ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ), or fax to (404) 413-7443. Cancellations received prior to June 13, 2010 will be issued a refund less a $25 cancellation fee; received by July 25, less $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after July 25, 2010 are not entitled to a refund; however, substitutions are permitted.
 
What’s the last day for conference registration? (TBD)
The last day for conference registration via the website, call in or fax is Monday, August 4, 2010. On-site registration will be available starting on August 12, 2010 at 8:00 am.
 
I am an Institutional Member or Academic Sponsor designee. How do I register?
Submit your form via fax (404) 413-7443, or email it to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Once your status has been verified, the conference registrar will process your registration.
 
I don’t have a credit card, can I pay by bank transfer?
Yes. Contact the AIS office to receive bank transfer instructions. Upon completion of the transfer, fax or email the registration form and proof of the transfer to the AIS office for processing.
 
Can I pay by purchase order?
Yes. All purchase orders must be submitted with ample time for AIS to bill your department and for your company to issue payment in full before July 25, 2010. No registration badges will be issued without some form of payment in full. If evidence of company payment is not available on site, the participant will be given a registration badge only after he/she provides a valid credit card number as a guarantee until staff returns to the office following the conference.
 
Can I register and pay onsite?
Yes. AIS accepts personal checks, cash, traveler’s checks, VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Registration badges will not be issued until payment is made in full. Due to space limitations, we strongly encourage all participants to register and pay in advance. Early registration fees are offered at a discounted rate.
 
Can I pay after I attend the conference?
No. Registration forms can not be processed until payment is received in full. 
 
I need a Visa to travel. How do I obtain a letter of invitation?
Complete the Letter of Invitation form here and email it to the Conference Registrar at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Please be informed that you will have to pay the registration fee in advance before you will receive a letter of invitation. As visa requirements can take several weeks, attendees should be advised to apply no later than 3 months prior to the conference.
 
I am participating in the Doctoral Consortium, are membership fees included in my registration?
No. Your membership must be current to participate in the consortium. To renew your membership or join AIS, visit our website at www.aisnet.org .
 
I am not a member of AIS, can I attend the conference?

No, this conference is only open to current members of AIS. However, you may join AIS as part of your conference registration. For more information about AIS, or to become a member, visit our website at www.aisnet.org .

 
If I am a presenter, do I have to register?

Yes. ALL participants must pay the applicable registration fees, including workshop speakers, paper presenters, session moderators and conference committee members.
